GPS speed is exponentially smoothed, then hysteresis and a hold timer are applied before changing zoom bands. This prevents the map from constantly zooming in and out near a speed threshold.
GPX files remain stored on the server by PitLink device credentials. Multi-segment tracks are drawn as separate segments, and each stored overlay can be recolored below without re-uploading.
